PLEA is an accredited, not-for-profit, charitable community services agency that has operated throughout BC for 40 years. It delivers residential and non-residential services to children, youth, adults and families facing significant challenges in their lives.

Two of PLEA’s programs rely on charitable giving in order to operate. ‘Children of the Street’ offers children, parents, caregivers and service providers the information and practical tools they need to keep young people safe from all forms of sexual exploitation. ‘KidStart’ is a life-changing volunteer mentorship program available to children and youth who face challenges at home, at school, or in the community.

To fulfill this vision PLEA delivers unique services, tailored to individual strengths and needs, to children, youth, adults and families facing significant challenges so that they may live fulfilling lives within their communities.
Meet our senior leadership team who oversee all of our programs and services. They collectively bring a wide range of expertise in the social services, health and education sector as well as in not-for-profit management and administration. All our program directors have experience in working on the front-line.
The Board provides strategic oversight to the agency. It is composed of individuals of integrity who bring a wide range of strengths and capabilities, and who share a commitment to the values and programs of PLEA.
