The Opportunity
Our well-known, respected, and growing building exterior maintenance business is looking for an experienced rope access leader for our team.
The Company
You may have seen our unique and distinctive superhero branding around town! We operate across the Lower Mainland, providing services such as window washing, pressure washing, parkade cleaning, gutter cleaning, and dryer vent cleaning for commercial and strata buildings (no single family homes). We service both low rise buildings (via ladders and lifts) and high rise buildings (via rope access). In addition, we provide salting and snow removal services in the winter. Our clients are primarily professional property managers.
The Compensation
Compensation is very competitive, with salary and bonus expected to total $85K assuming departmental targets are met, with the opportunity to do better if targets are exceeded.
The Role
The Rope Access Division Manager, reporting to our Production Manager, takes actions necessary to ensure the Rope Access Division completes jobs on-time, on-budget, meeting defined quality standards, and in a safe manner. This is accomplished by providing strong training and coaching to team members, monitoring performance, addressing issues and leading by example. In addition, this position acts as a Winter Division Manager during the winter season, coordinating and managing our salting and snow removal crews.
The Qualifications
- Minimum SPRAT or IRATA level 2 certification with the ability to get a level 3 certification in a short timeframe (level 3 certification preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of building cleaning rope access experience (window washing and pressure washing)
- Minimum 1 year of people management experience
- Familiarity with software such as Google Suite, including Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce (preferred)
- Strong communication skills (reading and writing in English)
- Demonstrated training/coaching skills
- Good time management and organization skills
- A keen desire to lead and motivate
- Patience when working with people
- Canadian citizenship, residency or a valid working permit and social insurance number
- Availability to work some early morning starts, weekdays and occasional weekends, graveyard shifts, and extended shifts when necessary
- A valid BC driver's license
The Location
The Rope Access Division Manager is provided with a company vehicle and will be primarily working at client locations across the Lower Mainland or at our warehouse in South Vancouver.
